Former Radcliff police officer released on bond in Florida

Posted by Charles Gazaway - email

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - A former Radcliff police officer charged with soliciting a teen online is free on bond.

David Williams was taken to Brevard County, Florida to face those charges last month. According to records, Williams posted a $100,000 bond two days later. He is now awaiting arraignment.

A court date was scheduled for June 30, but that has been cancelled because the state attorney's office has yet to file information on the case.

Undercover agents started an investigation into internet activity by Williams in September 2010. According to the arrest citation, Williams thought he was working through a father to have explicit chats with his 14-year-old daughter.
