Louisville, Ky. - Global Shoes, a traveling exhibit produced by the Brooklyn Children’s Museum, opens at the Muhammad Ali Center on Tuesday, March 26. This entertaining and educational bilingual (English/Spanish) exhibit encourages children and their families to explore global cultures within the context of a fantasy shoe store and factory.
Global Shoes incorporates intriguing cultural artifacts as well as multimedia and a variety of “hands-on, feet-in” activities pertaining to the shoes worn by people around the world.
A special component of the exhibit features children’s stories and artwork describing fictional people’s lives from sixteen different countries from their shoes’ point-of-view. The countries represented include: Samoa, Qatar, Uganda, Moldova, St.
