New laws for fireworks in Elizabethtown
Shooting off fireworks in Elizabethtown has become more difficult.
The city council took some bang out of the small explosives Monday when it voted to prohibit the lighting of fireworks between 11 p.m. and 8 a.m. and on city property except in pre-approved professional displays.
Mayor Time Walker says the intent of the restrictions is to curtail fireworks in residential areas during late hours.
