Hardin County school receives prestigious award | Schools

ELIZABETHTOWN, KY (WAVE) – A Hardin County school is getting high marks for success.
The U.S. Secretary of Education is recognizing the St. James School in Elizabethtown as a 2012 National Blue Ribbon School.
St. James was one of just five private schools on the list from Kentucky and 269 schools overall.
The award is given to public and private schools schools where students perform at very high levels or where significant improvements are being made in students’ levels of achievement.
The Department of Education will honor St. James at a recognition ceremony in November in Washington, D.C.
